GUNTERSVILLE, Ala. — Earlier today, (Wednesday, June 7) Representative Will Ainsworth, who represents the 27th District in the House of Representatives, announced a campaign kickoff event.

It had been speculated earlier that Ainsworth would seek the Lieutenant Governor's seat in 2018, with Ainsworth telling a crowd at a dinner in Winston County last month he was considering it.

Representative Will Ainsworth was elected to the Alabama House of Representatives on November 4, 2014, and is currently serving as a member of the Agriculture and Forestry, Ethics and Campaign Finance, Public Safety and Homeland Security, and Transportation and Utilities committees.

Ainsworth was born March 22, 1981 and graduated from Auburn University with a degree in marketing.

Representative Ainsworth is a former youth pastor at Grace Fellowship Church and serves on the FCA Board of Directors for Northeast Alabama.

He and his brother, Austin, own and operate Dream Ranch, which is one of the most recognized hunting and fishing lodges in the U.S. Additionally, Representative Ainsworth is founder of the Tennessee Valley Hunting and Fishing Expo.  It's one of the largest trade shows of its kind in the southeast and draws more than 20,000 attendees annually.

Representative Ainsworth is married to the former Kendall Foster and they have three children, twins Hunter and Hays, and a daughter Addie. When not working, he enjoys spending time with his family in the outdoors, playing sports, and teaching life lessons to his children.

Representative Ainsworth and his family attend Grace Fellowship Church in Albertville. He and his wife teach the Young Adults Class and the Children's Sunday School Class.
