A Sylvania man was arrested last week and charged with abuse of child, according to DeKalb County Sheriff Nick Welden.

Tracy Lee Ray Jr., 30, was arrested Jan. 4 and charged with abuse of a child torture/wilful.

He is being held in the DeKalb County Detention Center’

Welden said because of the sensitive nature of the case, no further information could be provided at this time.

“Situations involving our children are so hard on everyone involved,” Welden said. “I would like to thank our investigators and the Department of Human Resources for taking are of this so quickly and always making our children a top priority.”
