Multiple Drug Arrests in Collinsville

COLLINSVILLE, ALA.-- On  Wednesday, February 8, at approximately 6:00 pm, Collinsville Police Department received a call from Jacks Restaurant, in reference to a male subject harassing a juvenile female. 

Officers spoke to the juvenile's family, and they told them that after a confrontation between a family member and the male subject, he ran to the Travellers Inn Motel across the road.

Collinsville officers and DeKalb County deputies went to the Travellers Inn in an attempt to make contact with the suspect in the harassment.  The suspect was observed going into a room as officers arrived.  As officers made contact with the suspect, the room was filled with smoke and the odor of marijuana. 

After further investigation, the suspect in the harassment had felony warrants from DeKalb County Sheriff's Office, and more drugs/paraphernalia was found in this particular room.

There were other subjects staying at the motel who was in question for criminal activity.

There were 5 total subjects arrested out of 4 separate rooms. 4 of the arrest were for felony drug possession/paraphernalia, and 1 for misdemeanor drug possession/paraphernalia. Also, 3 of 5 arrested had other outstanding warrants with agencies.
