FORT PAYNE, Ala. — Jessica Lindsey Nation (36 of Crossville) was arrested on March
16, 2023 on 6 Grand Jury Indictments for Abuse of Child Torture/Willful (x3) and
Aggravated Child Abuse (x3).
The arrest stems from an investigation by the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office along with
the Alabama Department of Human Resources on allegations of abuse and neglect,
reported in 2021.
DeKalb County Sheriff Nick Welden said of the incident: “We appreciate everyone
that helped with this arrest. Protecting our children will forever be our main focus. Our
youth is our future, we have to stand strong in protecting them.”
