CENTRE, Ala. — According to Cherokee County Sheriff Jeff Shaver: investigators from the Sheriff’s Office charged a Broomtown man for unlawful distribution of a controlled substance and two counts of unlawful possession of a controlled substance.
Investigators arrested 46 year-old Anthony Yarbrough during a vehicle stop in Sand Rock on Monday evening.
Sheriff Shaver said Sheriff’s Office deputies and investigators, along with agents from the ATF and deputies with the U.S. Marshal’s Service, executed a search warrant at Yarborough’s residence last Friday night.
The charges stem from an extensive investigation involving those agencies over the past several months.
Yarbrough has previously been arrested and is awaiting trial in federal court. Yarbrough was transported to the Cherokee County Detention Center.
