FORT PAYNE, Ala. — On Wednesday December 14 at approximately 2:27 pm, Mr. Clyde William Roden, age 60 of Fort Payne, was arrested for Driving under the Influence of Any Substance.

Mr. Roden was waiting in line to pick up a child at Wills Valley Elementary School and it was noticed that he was too impaired to be operating a motor vehicle by School Resource Officer Curtis Massey.

It was unknown what substance Mr. Roden was on. Chief Randy Bynum stated it’s a poor choice to drive impaired but especially when that choice could jeopardize the lives of so many children on the school ground.
