Enjoy the musical stylings of Jacob Johnson on Saturday, June 14 at KC’S BBQ. Music is from 4 – 7 p.m. The eatery is located at 2300 County Park Rd, Scottsboro. Stage is outdoors and may cancel due to inclement weather conditions, call 256-999-0425 for updates.

 Win prizes while supporting the Lena Cagle Public Library in Bridgeport at Bingo Night on Saturday, June 21. The event will be held at the Bridgeport Community Center located at 411 Alabama Ave, Bridgeport. The $5 admission includes one card that can be played every game. For additional information see Facebook. Doors open at 5 p.m. and game starts at 5:30 p.m. Snacks will be for sale at the event.

 The Art Society of Jackson County is getting ready for the next Night Market on the Square, schedule for Saturday, June 21. Join them for an evening of creativity and community, featuring local artists and makers, food truck fare, and live music under the stars by Sawdust Jukebox.

 Sawdust Jukebox is an Alabama-based band that blends country classic with a modern twist. They bring the heart and soul of country music to the stage for a toe-tapping, sing-along vibe. The band is also scheduled to appear at The Docks (1165 Ed Hembree Dr, Scottsboro) on June 27 and Scooter’s Sports & Grill (3701 E Willow St, Scottsboro) on June 28.

 Night Market on the Square is from 6 – 9 p.m. and free to attend. The Scottsboro Square is located at 102 E Laurel St, Scottsboro. Musical entertainment scheduled for the Night Market on July 19 is Brett Carlisle and Soul Karnival and on August 16 Radar Mars is booked.

 Mark the calendar for Friday, July 11 to attend the inaugural Jackson County State of Healthcare. Event takes place at 7:30 a.m. at Scottsboro Civic Center located at 876 Ed Hembree Dr, Scottsboro. The new program launched through a collaboration with Ashley Pool, President of Highlands Medical Center.

 The program will share updates gathered from healthcare leaders across the county – including hospitals, clinics, nursing homes, first responders, and more. Pool will be joined by Sam Dean Vice President of Regional Hospitals at Huntsville Hospital Health System.

 Dean will offer his insights into the changing healthcare landscape in the region. The program will spotlight current challenges, recent improvements, and opportunities on the horizon for regional healthcare.
