Sylvania Band Director Cindy Stephens has been placed on administrative leave with pay.
The reason? Her outrageous reaction to an odorous Senior prank.
Following graduation on Tuesday night, four Sylvania students returned to the campus and spread chicken litter around the grounds.
Classes were dismissed early on Wednesday and the EMA was summoned in order to clean up "the mess".
It wasn't necessarily the epic Senior prank that has drawn all of the attention, but the reaction on Facebook from a Sylvania educator.
Social media has came alive with a number of people calling for Stephens to be fired.
The four Sylvania students have been caught and punishment is still TBD. Currently, no charges have been filed.
Southern Torch will bring you more as this story develops.
Give me a break. She should be fired? That’s ridiculous. She voiced understandable frustration and even went so far as to censor her words on social media. Heaven forbid she actual use the very language that the majority of adults use in certain company.
