SMPA’s concert season begins Friday night

The Sand Mountain Amphitheater’s concert season begins this week with a calendar full of big-name acts.

There are currently six concerts scheduled at Albertville’s very own concert venue beginning on Friday, April 4, at 7 p.m. with JJ Grey & Mofro. They will be joined by Silverada.

Then, two nights later on April 6, at 6 p.m., Christian rockers We the Kingdom will take the stage along with Katie Nicole and Caleb and John.

On Friday, June 6, at 7 p.m., the amphitheater will once again host Tacos and Tequila featuring Lil John, Timbaland and Paul Wall.

In August, there will be two chances to catch some rock and roll with Muscadine Bloodline on Friday, August 22, at 6 p.m. The very next night on Saturday, August 23, at 6 p.m. features Collective Soul and Live.

Right now, the concert season will end with Blues Traveler, The Spin Doctors and the Gin Blossoms on Friday, September 12, at 6 p.m.

Tickets for each show can be purchased at www.sandmoutainamphitheater.com. Box seats for each show or the entire season can also be purchased on the amphitheater’s website.
