As parents and caregivers gear up for back-to school, expenses can be overwhelming. From school supplies and backpacks on top of necessary toiletry items and clothing, getting ready for school can put added stress on families that already struggle. Nonprofit organization Where Hope Begins, is taking sign-ups for children in need of new shoes for back-to-school so that families can feel a break from what can be a major purchase for their family. 

Those who need shoes for the upcoming school year can sign up for them on Where Hope Begin’s Facebook page. The nonprofit organization based in Section will find sponsors for each child in need and have the shoes distributed before school starts.

The deadline to sign up DeKalb or Jackson County children for the drive is June 30.
