RAINSVILLE, Ala.— Northeast Alabama Community College (NACC) invites you to attend an exhibit, lecture, and discussion of Sand Mountain Pottery on Feb. 11, 2016, in the Archives and Special Collections Room (Room 206) on the 2nd floor of the Cecil B. Word Learning Resources Center on the NACC campus. The event will begin with refreshments, followed by an exhibit viewing period from 3:15 p.m. until 4 p.m.
Mr. Joey Brackner, Director of the Alabama Center for Traditional Culture and host of the Alabama Public Television documentary program Journey Proud, along with Mr. Ron Countryman of Birmingham and Mr. Danny Maltbie of Albertville, will moderate the event and give a short presentation.
The exhibit will be on display in the Archives and Special Collections Room from Feb. 11, 2016 until March 17, 2016. It includes pieces from various personal collections throughout the state, with an emphasis on pieces that are rarely displayed for public view. The exhibit also focuses on pieces from Jackson and DeKalb Counties.
