RAINSVILLE, Ala.-- The City of Rainsville has announced a curfew at the DeKalb County Schools Coliseum.

The Rainsville Police Department stated that trash was left in the parking lot, loud music, and disrespect of the property as the main reason for the curfew.

After 9:00 p.m. no one will be allowed on the grounds of the DeKalb County Schools Coliseum.

“I hate to do this to the ones who were respectful and responsible but I had no choice” stated Rainsville Police Chief Michael Edmondson.  “I want everyone to enjoy their summer by being safe and making good decisions”.

On the Rainsville Police Department Facebook Page, the City Park was encouraged as a place for the youth to go.

“We ask if you go to the Rainsville City Park that you throw your trash in the garbage cans.  Play ball, walk the trail but do not create a loud nuisance or we will have to close the gates there.”
