RAINSVILLE, Ala.-- The DeKalb County Board of Education held a special called meeting on March 3rd for the purpose of filing a personnel vacancy. 

The Special Education Coordinator position has been open since February. Three applicants from outside the district applied for the position. 

Superintendent Wayne Lyles recommended, and the Board approved the hiring of Stacey Wright to fill the position of Special Education Coordinator (Chief Student Support Officer) effective March 21, 2022.
