FORT PAYNE, ALA. - Five months ago a new clothing store opened in Fort
Payne. Jersey Girl Boutique offers more than just ladies' apparel. The store
also sells children's and men's clothing. Owner, Megan Wood said, "It's a
one stop shopping experience for the entire family, plus we have a
sprinkling of a variety of other items."
Women's clothing ranges from Small to 6X and men's sizes go up to 4X. A
small selection of home goods are for sale which includes throw pillows from
France. Clothing accessories consist of jewelry, shoes, and purses. Personal
or gift items comprise of Bibles, journals, infant blankets, and more. Gift
wrapping, Layaway, gift certificates, and reloadable gift cards are all
offered. A line of body lotions, butters, and mists in 22 aromas are sold
as well. "My mother is a chemist," said Wood. "She created this line of
personal products and has unique aromas such as baby powder and water lily."
The store offers online shopping. The app is available on any iOS or Android
device. Through the app, customers may watch previous live shows or currently
streaming ones. Whenever they go "live" it will also connect to other
platforms at the same time such as the webstore, Facebook page and group,
and Instagram.
Whoever downloads the app and registers with Jersey Girl will be able to be
notified of lives, new arrivals, sales events, coupons, and more. If a
viewer comments during a live show, for example, they comment "Sold 101" for
that item number, the item will go into their shopping cart automatically.
If they buy during a live, they receive double store credit, the more spent
the more earned.
Whenever someone registers their number and email with Jersey Girl Boutique,
they receive a notification with a referral code to send to anyone. If they
send out a referral code, they will receive extra discounts and a discount
to the person who accepts the referral code.
The Square system in the store is integrated with the Comment Sold platform.
When someone shops in the store they have the option to sign up for coupons
and sales notifications with their number and/or email. When customers opt
for notifications they can receive a monthly coupon, a notification of
holiday sales, and if they give their birthdate, a special coupon for their
birthday.
