The Kiwanis Club of Fort Payne will host the 45th annual Pancake Day Saturday, April 20, at the Fort Payne Rotary Pavilion.
From 6:30 a.m.-11 a.m. everyone is invited for all-you-can-eat pancakes, in exchange for a $7 donation.
Pancake Day is a fundraising event for the Fort Payne Kiwanis Club.
The proceeds from the event help support the youth and students in the Fort Payne community.
Each year the club gives five or six ccholarships to Fort Payne graduating seniors.
The club also sponsors the Fort Payne Key Club at the high school and purchase the stoles the key club members wear on graduation day.
“We help the schools in the Fort Payne City School system with projects such as the Ninja course at the middle school,” Sharon Jones of the Kiwanis Club explained. “We have purchased Promethium boards for the schools as well.
“We are involved with the senior citizens in the area, delivering Meals on Wheels once a week to the home bound. Book Buddy is also a project we take on where we read once a month to students at Wills Valley Elementary School,” she added.
