The Alabama State Jr. Beta Convention was held at the Birmingham Jefferson Civic Center on March 10 & 11.

The Geraldine Jr. Beta Club has been on a dominate run for the last decade and nothing changed this year as they competed in many different categories and took home awards in the following areas:

1st place Group Talent
1st place Campaign Speech by Nick Brown
2nd place Living Literature
3rd place Songfest
3rd place Campaign skit for Nick Brown

1st and 2nd place will be competing at the National level. The 18th Annual Jr. Beta Convention is in Richmond, VA and will be June 21-24, 2014. This year's theme is "Making History with Beta".
