Pisgah’s Barron to play in North-South All-Star Game

Story by Jason Bowen

Pisgah High School all-state basketball player Campbell Barron will represent the school in an all-star game this summer.

Barron has been selected to play for the North team in the North-South Girls Basketball Game in July.

The game is part of the Alabama High School Athletic Directors and Coaches Association’s annual All-Star Week in Montgomery. The game is for players that will be seniors during the 2025-26 academic year.

Barron is a two-time all-state selection and has been a varsity player for the Eagles since her eighth-grade season.

This past season, Barron averaged 19.8 points, 6.0 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 2.0 steals and was the Class 2A Girls Northeast Regional MVP, a Class 2A All-State Tournament team selection and a Sand Mountain Super 7 selection while helping Pisgah win the Class 2A state championship, her second as a varsity player and the program’s sixth in the past eight seasons.

Barron is also a finalist for Class 2A Player of the Year, which will be awarded next month during the Alabama Sports Writers Association’s Basketball Awards Banquet.

“She is constantly in the gym somewhere in season and out of season,” said Pisgah head coach Carey Ellison. “She loves the game and truly deserves to represent Pisgah, 2A and our region (Region 8) on the all-star team.”

Barron is the eighth Pisgah player all-time selected for the event, joining the list with past Eagles Whitney Ballard (1996), Paige Darwin (2004), Whitni Tucker (2004), Kristin White (2007), Presley Johnson (2015), Annie Hughes (2018) and Molly Heard (2021).
