Last week over 300 Easter baskets were hand prepared and delivered by some of the Easter bunny’s finest friends at the Boaz Housing Authority and the Boaz Police Department.
“I absolutely cannot express words right now because I am tired but today has been an amazing day and so thankful for my employees at the Boaz Housing Authority and the Boaz Police Department for making something happen that I was not sure it would,” said Maura Cole Williams, Executive Director of the Boaz Housing Authority. “We delivered almost 300 baskets today and had an absolute amazing day.”
Boaz Police Chief Mike Turner and a few of his officers took time out of their day to heed to the call of duty by strapping on their bunny ears and meeting families with their Easter surprises.
“We want to thank Maura Williams and the Boaz Housing Authority for allowing us the opportunity to participate,” Chief Turner said. “It was a blessing for us to get to interact with the public, especially the children, in a positive manner. We look forward to doing more community-oriented policing in the future.”
