FORT PAYNE, Ala. — It’s time to get (and stay) healthy.
DeKalb Regional Medical Center’s Heart Walk will be held on Saturday, August 17. This free community event will connect local community businesses and leaders with those dedicated to creating healthier lives free of cardiovascular diseases and strokes. The event is a fundraiser and seeks to raise awareness on heart health and how to live a healthy lifestyle.
Dr. Wael Halaseh, Interventional Cardiologist at DeKalb Regional Medical Center, strives for educating the community on how to take that first step to improve their heart health. He has a group of patients he likes to refer to as his “10%ers”, which includes patients who not only survived cardiac illnesses, but now thrive after dramatically changing their lives.
Join the movement now. The race begins at 8:30am at the Fort Payne Rotary Pavilion. Gates open at 7:30am.
Registration is open. Sign up at runsignup.com/Race/AL/FortPayne/DeKalbHeartWalk or visit DeKalbRegional.com for more information.
