Coaches release 2025 All-Jackson County Baseball Team

The varsity baseball coaches in the Jackson County School System have released their 2025 All-Jackson County Baseball Team, with pair of players from Jackson County champion North Sand Mountain taking the all-county team’s top honors.

NSM senior first baseman/pitcher Mikey Poss was named Jackson County Baseball Player of the Year. The Class 2A second-team all-state selection and Class 2A Area 15 Player of the Year had a 435 batting average (37-for-85) and a .571 on-base percentage while recording six doubles, one triple, three home runs, 40 RBIs, 27 walks and 37 runs.

Meanwhile, NSM right-hander Carson Harvey was named Jackson County Baseball Pitcher of the Year. The junior was also a Class 2A second-team all-state selection and was also Class 2A Area 15 Pitcher of the Year. Harvey went 8-1 with one save on the mound for the Bison this spring with a 1.05 ERA while recording 65 strikeouts in 53 1/3 innings pitched.

Poss and Harvey were joined on the All-Jackson County Baseball Team by NSM teammates Landon Keller, Jaxson Stiles, Jackson Burgess, Luke Reed and Cooper Pierce.

Jackson County runner-up Section was represented on the all-county team by Luke Swinford, Preston Dover and Jackson Broom. County Tournament semifinalists Pisgah and North Jackson also had three players each named to the team. North Jackson’s all-county selections were Bodie Burnette, Drew Davis and Logan Shoemake while Pisgah’s all-county selections were Luke Gilbert, Caleb Jenkins and Jackson Smalley.

Skyline was represented on the all-county team by Will Gates and Jaxon Guthrie while Woodville was represented by seniors Mason Jones and Carter Johnson.
