DEKALB COUNTY, Ala. — The Council on Aging and Public Transporation announced that they will be closing effective March 16 and will reopen on April 6, 2020.
All clients of the SenioRx Prescription Assistance program can be assured that the agency will be working by phone to ensure clients experience no delays in their medicines.

The 440 meal clients will continue to receive food during the shutdown.
The 200 current clients who receive the Commodity Supplemental Food Program boxes will receive their food at the regular date, time and location. Clients are advised to remain in their car with windows rolled up while a staff member puts the boxes in their car.
All Senior Center clients that currently receive weekly frozen meals or meal replacements (liquid supplements) will continue to receive these during the shutdown.
The Senior Center clients that eat in the Senior Center and the clients that receive hot home-delivered meals will receive a box of 7-pack shelf-stable meals once a week. Clients will be contacted with details once they become available.
