FORT PAYNE – The Fort Payne Chamber of Commerce invites the community to Civic Social: Meet Your Candidates, a relaxed and engaging evening designed to help residents connect with the individuals running for mayor and city council in the upcoming municipal election.
The event will be held on Thursday, July 10, 2025, at the Fort Payne City Auditorium (100 Alabama Avenue NW). Doors open at 5:30 PM, with the program beginning at 6 p.m. and concluding by 8 p.m.
The evening will begin with brief introductions from each candidate, offering residents the chance to put faces to the names behind the campaigns.
Afterward, attendees are invited to stay for casual mingling and networking—a great opportunity to ask questions and engage directly with those seeking to serve our city.
“This is the perfect chance for Fort Payne citizens to get plugged in, get involved, and get informed about who’s running for these important positions,” said Chamber Executive Director Jessica Townsel. “Whether you're just listening or ready to ask questions, we welcome everyone to participate.”
All candidates running for city council or mayor are asked to contact the Chamber in advance by emailing info@fortpaynechamber.com.
The Fort Payne Chamber of Commerce is a nonpartisan organization committed to promoting civic involvement that strengthens our businesses, our community, and our future.
Make plans to attend—your voice matters, and your vote does too, Townsel said.
