Auburn, Alabama game dates, kickoffs set

The Southeastern Conference and ESPN released the remaining TV start times and windows for the 2025 SEC football season this week. 

The Alabama Crimson Tide and the Auburn Tigers already knew the kickoff times for their first three games of the season. They were announced a few months ago. 

For the Crimson Tide and second-year Head Coach Kalen DeBoer, the 2025 season will kick off Aug. 30 at 2:30 p.m. on ABC when Alabama makes its first-ever trip to Tallahassee to take on Florida State. The Crimson Tide leads the all-time series 3-1-1. The last meeting in 2017, Alabama won 24-7. 

The home opener for Alabama is scheduled for Sept. 6 against UL-Monroe, with a 6:45 p.m. kickoff on the SEC Network. On Sept. 13 the Wisconsin Badgers make their first trip to Bryant-Denny Stadium for a 11 a.m. kickoff on ABC. The Crimson Tide will have their first bye week on Sept.20. 

 Sept. 27 brings the most anticipated matchup between the Alabama Crimson Tide and the Georgia Bulldogs in primetime on ABC. The game in Sanford Stadium is set for a 6:30 p.m. kickoff. Alabama won last year’s game 41-34. This will be the Crimson Tide’s first trip to Athens since 2008. 

The Oct. 4 game against Vandy has been labeled a FLEX kickoff, meaning it will either be a 2:30 p.m. or 7 p.m. kickoff.  On Oct. 11 Alabama travels to Missouri for a 11 a.m. kick on either ABC or ESPN. 

The Crimson Tide’s next two contests, Tennessee on Oct. 18 and the trip to South Carolina on Oct. 25 are FLEX kicks for either 2:30 p.m. or 7 p.m. Then after a bye week on Nov. 1, Alabama will host the Tigers from LSU for a night game with either a 5 or 7 p.m. kick. 

The Oklahoma Sooners make their first trip to Tuscaloosa since 2003 on Nov. 15 kickoff is slated for either 2:30 p.m. or 7 p.m. 

On Nov. 22 Alabama will host Eastern Illinois for the first meeting between the two teams. The game will kick off at 1 p.m. on SEC Network Plus. 

Then the regular season will come to an end on November 29 with the Iron Bowl. This year’s game will be at Auburn and will either be a 2:30 or 7 p.m. kickoff. Alabama has won five straight over the Tigers. 

Alabama finished the 2024 season with a 9-4 record. 

As for the Auburn Tigers, their first game will be on Friday, Aug. 29 at 7 p.m. on FOX as the Tigers travel to Waco, Texas for the first time to take on the Baylor Bears. 

On September 6 the Tigers will host Ball State at 6:30 p.m. on ESPN-U. The next week South Alabama comes to Auburn for an 11:45 a.m. kick on the SEC Network. 

Auburn will travel to Norman, Oklahoma on Sept. 20 and the kickoff will either be 2:30 or 7 p.m. This will be the first time ever for the Tigers to travel to Norman. 

On Sept. 27 Auburn travels to College Station to take on the Aggies for an afternoon kick which normally means 3:15 p.m. Oct. 4 will be the Tiger's first by week. 

The Deep South’s oldest rivalry will take place at night on the Plains on Oct. 11 with either a 5 or 7 p.m. kick. 

The Oct. 18 match-up with Missouri at Auburn will kick at either 2:30 p.m. or 7 p.m. The Tigers travel to Arkansas on Oct. 25 for an early kick-off either at 11 or 11:45 a.m. And the next week on Nov. 1 Auburn hosts the Kentucky Wildcats for either a 2:30 or 7 p.m. kick.

Vandy will host the Tigers on Nov. 8 for a 3:15 p.m. kick. Auburn follows that with its final bye week on Nov. 15. 

On Nov. 22 the Tigers host Mercer at 1 p.m. on SEC Network Plus. 

Auburn closes the regular season with a home game against Alabama on Nov. 29. 

Auburn finished the 2024 season with a 5-7 record.
