RAINSVILLE, Ala. — The Northeast Alabama Community College Golf Team will be conducting tryouts for the upcoming 2017-2018 Men’s and Women’s golf teams during the month of June. The first tryout is set for Thursday, June 8 at Goose Pond Colony Golf Course in Scottsboro, Alabama. Registration for this event will begin at 10:00 am with a tryout session from 12:00-2:00 pm.
The second tryout date will be on Wednesday, June 21 at Dogwood Hills in Flat Rock, Alabama. Registration for this event is set to begin at 9:00 am with a tryout session from 11:00-1:00 p.m. Both tryout dates are open to both prospective men and women golfers.
In order to participate in the tryout, prospects must bring:
- Verification of a physical examination administered by a qualified healthcare professional within the past 13 months
- Valid photo identification
- Current golf resume reflecting past golf experience and accomplishments
- Golf clubs and golf balls needed to compete and participate in the tryout.
Prospective athletes must meet all eligibility standards set forth by the National Junior College Athletic Association. Individuals who have signed Letters of Intent with another college are ineligible to participate in the tryout. Per NJCAA rules, prospective athletes may only participate in one tryout per institution in a calendar year. Scholarship and walk-on opportunities are available for prospective student athletes.
