Story by Peggy M. Himburg
Three sisters who love baking decided to get together and form a business. Sadie, Hannah, and Abigail Thompson named their business Three Sisters. They participated in the second annual Young Entrepreneur Expo.
The sisters had a variety of baked goods for sale at the Expo, so there was basically something for everyone. Their delicious options included cupcakes, pralines, turtles, fudge, pie, and cookies.
Sadie said, “We had been doing the business for only a few weeks, but we have been baking for a few years.” Prior to the Expo they had already been selling to family and friends. Their mom and grandmother have helped and encouraged them in their business. They plan to continue their baking business, and they will do custom orders.
History is Sadie’s favorite school subject. “It’s very interesting,” she adds.
Sadie is a member of the Beta Club and participates on the swim team. She is a Scottsboro High School homeschool sophomore.
Sadie and her sisters enjoy traveling. They also like to watch movies.
Sadie, 15, is the daughter of Justin and Faith Thompson. Her sisters are Abby, 13, and Hannah, 11, and they have a brother, Jonathon, 7. Their grandparents are Billy and Janet Carver.
