Boaz – Boaz City Schools is proud to announce Leslie Price as the new principal of Boaz Elementary School. With more than 25 years of dedicated service to the Boaz school community, Price brings a wealth of experience, knowledge, and passion to her new role.
Mrs. Price began her career in the classroom, teaching first, second, third, and fifth grades. She then served as an Instructional Partner at Boaz Elementary School for 10 years, followed by two years as Assistant Principal at Boaz Elementary and Corley Elementary.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Jacksonville State University, a Master’s in Elementary Education from the University of Alabama, and an Educational Specialist (Ed.S.) degree in Teacher Leadership from the University of Alabama. She also completed the Instructional Leadership program at The University of West Alabama. In addition, she is LETRS certified and a trained System Dyslexia Simulation Trainer.
“I am super excited to continue to serve the students, families, and community of Boaz,” said Mrs. Price.
She is married to Greg Price, and together they have two daughters who are proud graduates of Boaz High School.
“Mrs. Price has dedicated her entire career to the Boaz community, and we are thrilled to see her step into this leadership role,” said Dr. Ashley Walls, Superintendent of Boaz City Schools. “Her deep roots in our district, combined with her instructional expertise and strong relationships, make her the perfect choice to lead Boaz Elementary into the future.”
