Albertville Chamber of Commerce sponsors Christmas Open House

By MARY BAILEY The Reporter

The 5th Annual Downtown Merry Market was held this weekend and none other than Santa and Mrs. Claus stopped in for the festival.

Children were able to start their morning off with cookie decorating kits from Mrs. Claus, have their pictures made with Santa at the train depot and then strap on ice skates and visit the Sand Mountain Skate located at the Farmers Market in downtown Albertville.

The Albertville Chamber of Commerce Christmas Open House scavenger hunt gave families a chance to shop local for the holidays at businesses located downtown and each participating business had different holiday events happening inside.

Events for the weekend included free horse drawn carriage rides, magical reindeer food making stations, writing letters to Santa at the Albertville Museum, face painting, making sugar cone Christmas Trees and more.

More free holiday events around the community can be found on our events calendar in The Reporter.
