Two Shot in Powell Altercation

POWELL, Ala.—Two people were shot after an altercation in Powell. This was not a drive-by shooting that has been reported by several media sites. 

According to DeKalb County Sheriff Office, Chief Investigator Nick Brown, two employees of Haymon Homes were shot after an argument at a home for caregivers of Haymon Homes.  The argument spilled onto the road with one victim in a car being shot and the other victim being shot in the yard. 

One suffered injuries and was transported to Erlanger Hospital in Chattanooga, TN.  The victim in the car, left the scene and at this time his whereabouts are unknown. 

The DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office, Powell Police Department, Rainsville Police Department along with JSU Center for Applied Forensics in aiding with the ongoing investigation.
