DeKALB COUNTY, Ala. — Winter weather brought hazardous conditions across North Alabama earlier this week bringing dangerously cold temperatures and snow to yards across DeKalb County.
On Monday and Tuesday, DeKalb County experienced a "Winter Storm Warning" issued by the National Weather Service in Huntsville, indicating "significant amounts of snow, sleet, and ice...[that] will make travel very hazardous or impossible."
Despite a grim forecast on the icy front, DeKalb County appears to have missed much of the perilous conditions with more winter weather threatening the opposite corner of the state along with states to the west of Alabama.
