FORT PAYNE, Ala. — From the Office of DeKalb County Sheriff Nick Welden: A few months ago, the DeKalb County Sheriff's Office (DCSO) met with CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) for children to discuss ways they could assist in their efforts to protect children in DeKalb County.
A fundraiser was planned by representatives, including the late Lt. Jeff Bain, to benefit CASA.
The DeKalb County Sheriff's Office will participate in a No Shave February in an effort to raise money for CASA and the children of DeKalb County under the banner of "Growing Together DeKalb!"
On Monday, DeKalb County Sheriff Nick Welden presented a check in memory of Lt. Bain and Operation Growing Together DeKalb. To donate to this cause, please visit casaofnorthsandmountain.org.
