Rainsville Arrests Man for Burglary

RAINSVILLE, Ala. — Last night, the Rainsville Police Department was dispatched to the Farmers Telephone substation on Everett Road for a burglary.

The suspect, Dalton Joshua Adams of Rainsville, had been caught on video and an image was given to the Rainsville Police Department.

Earlier today, Adams voluntarily gave a statement to authorities and was subsequently arrested. He has been charged with burglary 3rd, criminal mischief 3rd, and criminal trespassing.

No property was taken and the damage to the building and equipment is estimated to be under $500.

Rainsville Police Chief Kevin Smith thanked those who called in to help identify Adams and reiterated that the Rainsville Police Department is still actively working to maintain the rule of law amid the pandemic.
