GRANT, Ala. — The Plainview Bears defeated the Brindlee Mountain Lions, 41-6 in region play on Friday night. 

The Plainview Bears scored fast and often against the Brindlee Mountain Lions, scoring 20 unanswered points in the first quarter.  With 9:54 remaining in the first, Brody McCurdy scored on a 3-yard rushing touchdown.  The extra point attempt by Geo Chapparo was good, giving the Bears the early 7-0 lead.  With 6:26 remaining in the first, Logan Bell brought it in from 44-yards out for the score.  The kick by Chapparo was good.  With only :03 remaining in the first, Bell brought it in from 20 yards out, making the score 20-0.

With 10:47 remaining in the second, Noah White scored on a 12-yard rushing touchdown. The kick by Chapparo was good.  With 7:12 remaining in the first half, Plainview tacted on seven more points, when White made the 42-yard pass connection to Corey Blair.  The point after attempt by Chapparo was good, giving the Bears the 34-0 advantage going into the half.  

Plainview scored their final touchdown of the night with 3:03 remaining in the third quarter on a 9-yard rushing touchdown by Dillion McCullough.  The kick by Chapparo was good.  

Brindlee Mountain avoided the shutout scoring on a 9-yard rushing touchdown with 3:45 remaining in the game.  The point after attempt failed, making the final score 41-6.

The Plainview Bears racked up 367 yards compared to Brindlee Mountain 96.  Logan Bell led the Plainview Bears with 119 yards on 5 carries and two touchdowns.  Noah White finished the night with 83 yards on 6 carries.  

The Plainview Bears will host New Hope in region play on Friday.
