FORT PAYNE, Ala. — In their first meeting of 2017, the DeKalb County Commission convened last Tuesday. The commission addressed the following items:
- Road Department:

- Sheriff's Office:
- Personnel Changes
- Emergency Management Agency:
- Update on recent snow event (President Ricky Harcrow as EMA staff were assisting with the DeSoto Mills Fire)
- Public Transportation:
- Defensive Driving Training (Matt Sharp, CPA County Administrator)
- Sales Tax:
- Severe Weather Preparedness Tax Free Holiday (Matt Sharp, CPA County Administrator)
