FORT PAYNE, Ala. On October 28DeKalb County Sheriff’s Deputies and Henagar Police Department went to a resident on Andrew Lee Drive in Henagar to serve warrants on Larry Lebron Tidwell, 34 of Henagar.

When Deputies and Police officers got to the resident they found Tidwell hiding under a bed and found methamphetamine on his person. At which time Tidwell was arrested and was placed in the back of the patrol car.

Deputies and Police officers noticed some tools in the back of a truck Tidwell had been driving, the tools looked like some that had been reported stolen from a business in Henagar earlier in the week. While Deputies and Police officers were at the truck, Tidwell kicked out the back window of the patrol car and ran. A search for Tidwell was initiated but Tidwell was not found.

Fast forward to the morning of Wednesday, November 22, when the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office received a tip of Tidwell’s whereabouts.

When deputies made contact with Tidwell, he was arrested on warrants for Receiving Stolen Property (First Degree), Theft of Property (Fourth Degree), Criminal Mischief (Third Degree),  Escape (Third Degree), and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

After the arrest, DeKalb County Sheriff JImmy Harris said, “We appreciate Henagar Police Department for working together with us on this case.”
