On Tuesday evening, the Rainsville Chamber of Commerce hosted the 3rd Annual State of the City Address at the Tom Bevill Enrichment Center.

Rainsville Mayor Nick Jones speech focused on the:

• Civic Center;
• City Clerk Position;
• City Council;
• and The Alabama Communities of Excellence Program.

The State of the City Address was followed by a Town Hall Q&A session that featured:

• Mayor Nick Jones
• Police Chief Charles Centers
• Fire Chief Thomas Ridgeway
• Councilman Brandon Freeman
• Councilman Joey Graham
• City Treasurer Debbie Lanier

The mood of the crowd in attendance seemed almost hostile in their line of questioning, mainly directed towards the dysfunction of the current City Council.
