Coach Glenn Haynes delivered Sylvania their first Sand Mountain Championship since 1996, and his son, star Center Caleb Haynes, was the main reason why. Haynes averaged a double-double for the tournament with as an efficient 24 PPG as you could ever ask for.
Coach Joey Swinford's Lady Lions took down the #1 Lady Eagles and #2 Lady Bears with what may be the best back to back Varsity Girls tournament performances by a team that I've ever witnessed. Their pace and absurd shooting percentage from behind the arc should have them playing in a Regional Final (2A) at Jacksonville State University come February.
