Dawson Man Arrested for 2015 Murder after Chase

FORT PAYNE, Ala. — Earlier today, the murder suspect in the Kenneth DeWayne Shaw’s murder case back in November of 2015, Dakota Lake Gore, 20 of Dawson was arrested on a grand jury indictment for murder. After a short car chase he jumped out of the vehicle and ran into the wood but was captured shortly thereafter. Gore was also charged with resisting arrest and attempt to elude.

Kenneth DeWayne Shaw was found dead by a neighbor on November 14, 2015. The neighbor reported a 48 year old male had been shot. When Henagar police officers and deputies arrived on the scene, they found Kenneth Shaw, aged 48, face-down in his yard, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the chest.

Sheriff Harris says “Because this is a Grand Jury indictment and we do not have any further information on this case. Thank you to the US Marshal Service, Rainsville Police Department, Sylvania Police Department, and the DeKalb County Deputies and Investigators for their help in this arrest.”
