GERALDINE, Ala. — The Fyffe Red Devils shutout the Geraldine Bulldogs 28-0 on Friday night.
The Red Devils, scored first on a 70-yard touchdown drive. Zach Pryon connected with Brody Dalton on a 37-yard pass. Kyle Dukes brought it in from 5-yards out, two plays later. The kick by Dalton gave the Red Devils the 7-0 advantage with 9.28 remaining in the opening quarter.
The Bulldogs fell short on a fourth down conversions, giving the ball back to the Red Devils in the second quarter. Fyffe bulldozed their way down the field and 12-plays and 80 yards later, Zach Pryon powered up the middle with :42 remaining in the first half on a quarterback keeper. The kick by Dalton was good and Fyffe went into the half with a 14-0 advantage.
To start the second half, Pyron showed out for the Red Devils. He had several runs before driving in another touchdown with 2:08 remaining in the third. The kick by Dalton was good, padding the Red Devil lead to 21-0.
After a Geraldine turnover, Fyffe etched their victory in stone with a 20-yard touchdown, early in the fourth quarter, by Ike Rowell. The kick was good, making the final score of the night 28-0.
Friday night, both teams will travel to start region play. Fyffe (1-0) will travel to take on Section (0-1) while Geraldine (1-1) will travel to take on Plainview (1-1).
