Bulldogs Bully the Bears

SUSAN MOORE, Ala. — The Plainview Bears were defeated by the Susan Moore Bulldogs 38-14, Friday night. This loss places the Bears 0-2 in region play.

The Bulldogs scored with 1:59 remaining in the first quarter on an 8-yard rushing touchdown. The extra point attempt was good, giving the Bulldogs the early 7-0 lead.

With 7:11 remaining in the second quarter, Noah White made the 21-yard pass connection to Corey Blair for the score. Susan Moore quickly answered back with 6:53 remaining in the half on a 55-yard touchdown reception. The Bulldogs kicked a field goal and went into the half with the 17-6 advantage. 

The Bulldogs scored with 5:28 remaining in the third, on a 40-yard reception. The PAT was good.  With :30 remaining in the third, Susan Moore brought another one in from 2-yards out. The PAT was good and the Bulldogs ended the third with an 31-6 lead.  

To start the fourth quarter, the Bulldogs scored on a 16-yard rushing touchdown. The PAT was good, giving them the 38-6 advantage. Plainview answered back on a 4-yard rushing touchdown by Brody McCurdy. Marcos Vegas brought in the 8-yard, two-point conversion, making the final score of the night, 38-14.

Susan Moore had 263 total yards for the night. Plainview had 176 yards.  

Plainview will host the Sylvania Rams for a region game on Friday.
