Bisons Paw the Hornets

HIGDON, Ala. — The Ider Hornets fell to the North Sand Mountain Bison, 48-7 on Friday night.  

With 3:51 remaining in the first quarter, Jayden Culpepper connected with Landon Green, on a 21-yard pass, and scored the first of four touchdowns for the Bisons. The extra point attempt was good and North Sand Mountain lead the Ider Hornets, 7-0. With 2:47 left in the first quarter, Cullpepper catches a 43-yard pass from Green for a Bison touchdown.  The extra point attempt was good, giving NSM the 14-0 advantage. 

Just inside the second quarter, NSM scores to broaden the Bison lead to  21-0.  With :54 remaining in the first half, Culpepper scored his third touchdown of the night for the Bisons, making the score 27-0 going into the half.   

Coming back from the half, the Bisons scored fast and often against the Ider Hornets.  Culpepper scored his final touchdown of the night on making the score 34-0.  Fernando Luna and Jonah Pennighton both added a touchdown for the Bisons to give the Bisons the 48-0 lead at the end of the third. 

Seth Hawkins added the only points on the board for the Ider Hornets with a 6-yard scramble into the endzone.  The kick was good, making the final score 48-7.

For North Sand Mountain, Jayden Culpepper caught 7 passes for 182 yards and scored four touchdowns. 

Ider will host the Cedar Bluff Tigers (5-2) while North Sand Mountain will travel to take on the Fyffe Red Devils (7-0).
