RAINSVILLE, Ala. — The Plainview Varsity Boys basketball team defeated the Fyffe Red Devils 87-56 to win the Sand Mountain Tournament finale on Saturday night.
At the end of the first period, the Bears had the 23-11 advantage. Going into the intermission, the Bears led the Red Devils 42-29.
The Bears picked up steam in the third period to make the score 70-45.
Plainview closed out the game with a 87-56 win over Fyffe to win the Sand Mountain Tournament.
For the Plainview Bears, Caden Millican led the Bears with 20 points and three rebounds. Koby Tinker had 17 points and three rebounds. Hayden White finished the game with 12 points, four three-pointers and seven rebounds.
For the Fyffe Red Devils, Tate Goolsby and Parker Goodwin each had 11 points for the game.
Plainview is now 14-1 in play. The Bears have outscored their opponent 1,170-881. In scoring, Koby Tinker leads the team with 297 points (45 three-pointers) and 56 rebounds. Caden Millican has 295 points (35 three-pointers) and 92 total rebounds.
The Plainview Bears are participating in the First State Bank Shootout this week.
