If you've been to the VFW Fair this week and passed by the Republican booth you may have noticed a stack of letters on the table for the taking.
Rex Leath (R) is running against incumbent Sheriff Jimmy Harris (D). One of Leath's supporters has penned a letter that has received attention from a national media outlet. Mother Jones was the source that ran the infamous Romney 41% cell phone video in 2012 and has picked up on the story.
Dear DeKalb County Voter,
Thank you for being an active citizen of our county. I am sure you will be interested in the enclosed brochure. Rex Leath is running for DeKalb County Sheriff and is highly qualified for the job. His opponent is on the same team with President Obama.
Obama is determined to be a dictator with the executive orders he signs. He has left the U.S. Constitution in shreds. If Obama decides to run again (against U.S. law) or declares a National Emergency to suspend elections in 2016, what will our Democrat Sheriff do? I am concerned that he will go along with this lawless President.
The Sheriff is the county's highest law enforcement officer. In these days his actions of defending the citizens against lawlessness is critical. Rex Leath has pledged to defend our citizens even against a lawless President.

I hope that people that read this understands that this is really way out there. Sheriff Harris and his department do a great job making sure that the citizens of DeKalb County are safe. You should be thanking them for putting their life on the line every day for you. If you can’t play fair Don’t Play at All.
