SYLVANIA, Ala. — The Sylvania Rams celebrated homecoming with a 59-13 victory over the New Hope Indians.

The Rams scored with 8:10 remaining in the first quarter, on Quarterback Brody Smith's connection to Gareth Anderson.

New Hope answered back with a touchdown to tie the score early in the second quarter. With 7:50 remaining in the first half, Smith scored on a quarterback keeper to give the Rams the 14-7 advantage.  With 5:07 remaining in the half, Anderson scored again for the Rams.  With 3:15 left in the second quarter, Fisher Goza sailed into to the endzone to give the Rams the 28-7 lead. The Rams scored their last touchdown of the half when Anderson brought the ball down the field for 56 yards before fumbling the ball.  Winston Wilks recovered the ball for the score.  The Rams went into the half with the 35-7 lead over the Indians

In the third, the Rams added a 19-yard field goal by Christian Andrade with 3:01 remaining in the third. Eli Gurley scored on a 5-yard gallop into the endzone with 1:50 remaining in the third quarter.

Style Hughes scored his first varsity touchdown with a 38-yard stampede into the endzone with 11:51 remaining in play. Jake McSpadden tacked on the final Ram touchdown with 1:51 remaining in the fourth quarter to make the final score, 59-13.

Sylvania will travel to take on the Pisgah Eagles.
