Fyffe Gym to be dedicated 'Mike Cochran Gymnasium' this Tuesday

FYFFE, Ala.—On Tuesday, December 13, 2016 The new Fyffe gym will officially be dedicated to Coach Mike Cochran.

During Cochran's twenty-eight years of teaching at Fyffe High School, he boost a 627-226 record that boost seven State Championships, including four in a row from 1994-1997.

Mike Cochran graduated from Fyffe High School in 1979 and earned his college degree and Masters in English from the University of Alabama.

During Cochran's twenty-eight years of teaching at Fyffe High School, he boost a 627-226 record that boost seven State Championships, including four in a row from 1994-1997.  He won sixteen Dekalb County Championships and fourteen Area Championships.

He also coached the Alabama-Mississippi All-Star Classic, four times.  Mike Cochran was inducted into the Dekalb County Sports Hall of Fame in 2013.

The dedication will be at approximately 7:15 p.m. between the Varsity Girls and Varsity Boys game against the Asbury Rams.
