Homeowner in Cherokee Co. holds two burglars at gun point

CENTRE, Ala.  According to Cherokee County Sheriff Jeff Shaver: A resident in the Jamestown Community held 2 burglary suspects at gun point after catching the couple inside her home. The homeowner called 911 and Sgt. Sheldon Estes quickly responded to the scene.

Sgt. Estes arrested 20 year-old Benjamin T. Roulane, of Summerville, Georgia, but the second suspect, Alexia McGuire, 18 of Summerville, fled the burglary scene when she saw the homeowner.

Warrants have been obtained for McGuire and Sheriff’s Offices in Cherokee, as well as Chattooga County, are looking for the suspect.

Rowland was transported to the Cherokee County Detention Center for second degree burglary.

Sheriff’s Office investigators also charged him with 3 counts of third degree burglary and second degree theft of property in connection with crimes that took place earlier in the week.
