911 Dispatch received a call about a Burglary and Possible Sexual Abuse that occurred in the vicinity of 4th Street NW

• Officers made contact with the male and female homeowners that told about a male subject that had entered their residence while the female was home alone
• The male homeowner states that as he entered the residence a male subject exited the residence at a fast run
• As other officers arrived on scene a physical description was given out of the perpetrator who was masked as he was leaving the residence
• Neighbors in the area reported seeing a dark blue or black SUV leaving the area in a hurry
• As officers were gathering information it was discovered that several items were missing from inside the residence and the victim’s vehicle
• Investigators arrived on scene and key evidence was gathered for Forensic Testing
• The evidence was sent to the Alabama Department of Forensic Science for extensive testing
• Forensic test results were returned to the Fort Payne Police Department

The suspects name is:

Shane Lee Henagar, age 46 of Fort Payne

Charges are:

• 1 count Burglary 2nd Degree
• 1 count Unlawful Entering of a Motor Vehicle
• 1 count Theft 3rd Degree
• 1 count Robbery 1st Degree
• 1 Count Sexual Abuse 1st degree
• 1 Count Sodomy 1st Degree Class A
