JACKSON COUNTY, Ala.-- Brandon Blaine Berry, of Woodville was sentenced to two consecutive life sentences on Tuesday in Jackson County.
Berry was convicted on May 24, 2021 of first-degree kidnapping and murdering David Christen Lorenzo Rivamonte in September 2018.
Prosecutors said Berry killed Rivamonte, who suffered from autism, and allegedly told Berry he sexually assaulted a ten-year old.
Investigators believe Berry tied Rivamonte to a chair, assaulted him and later shot him.
Rivamonte’s body was found buried near a home on County Road 86 in September 2018.
