DeKalb Deputies make three arrests following traffic stops

FORT PAYNE, Ala. — Several traffic stops were conducted on January 4th by the DeKalb County Sheriff's Office. The DeKalb County Drug and Major Crimes Unit stopped a vehicle on Alabama Highway 75 in Geraldine. A search of the vehicle was conducted as a result Drug Paraphernalia and control substance were found inside the vehicle.

Jeremy Matthew Jones, 41 of Fyffe, was arrested and charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

On a separate traffic stop made by the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Deputies on County Road 57 in the Dawson area. A search of the vehicle was conducted and Control Substance and Drug Paraphernalia was found with a little over four thousand dollars in cash. As a result of the search Matthew David Jones, 39 of Dawson and Krystle Croft Taylor, 31 also of Dawson was arrested and charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance. Once Taylor was at the DeKalb County Detention Center she was found with Methamphetamine on her person, which led to an additional charge of Promoting Prison Contraband 2nd.
