Red Devils Defeat the Bulldogs

FYFFE, Ala. — The Fyffe Red Devils defeated the Geraldine Bulldogs, 51-7 in region play on Friday night. 

Hunter Gillian brought it in from 7-yards out, to score the first Red Devil touchdown with 7:21 remaining in the first quarter.  Kyle Dukes intercepted the ball on Geraldine’s first play.  The Red Devils took over on the Geraldine 19.  Gillian made the19-yard pass connection to Malachi  Mize for the touchdown, going up 14-0 with 7:04 remaining in the first. 

With 7:52 remaining in the second quarter, Gillilan charged into the endzone from 10-yards out, the PAT gave the Red Devils the 21-0 lead.  With 3:29 remaining in the first half, Dukes brought it in from 9-yards out,  taking the 27-0 advantage over Geraldine. To close out the first half, Fyffe kicked a field goal to go into intermission with the 30-0 lead. 

To start the second half Mize stampeded down the field for 33-yards to make the score, 37-0, with 9:32 remaining in the third quarter.  With 3:24 remaining in the third, Anthony Baldwin scored for the Bulldogs, making the score 37-7.  

With 11:10 remaining in the game, Brody Hicks scored for the Red Devils, on an 8-yard run, to make the score 44-7.  With 7:16 remaining in the game, Hicks scored again on a 48-yard run, to make the final of the night, 51-7.  

Fyffe will host the Asbury Rams on Friday night.  Geraldine will host the Collinsville Panthers.
