IDER, Ala. — The Victory Christian Lions spoiled the Ider Hornets Homecoming, with a 14-12 victory.
With 5:37 remaining in the second quarter, Ider put points on the board first with a touchdown by Hunter Robinson. The extra point attempt failed but gave the Hornets the 6-0 at the half.
Victory Christian scored at the beginning of the fourth quarter. The Lions unsuccessfully went for two, tying the score 6-6. With 7:18 remaining in play, Matthew Norman ran one in for the Hornets. The 2-point conversion pass was intercepted by the Lions, to make the score 12-6. Victory Christian scored and went for two to win the game, with a score of 14-12.
The Ider Hornets are looking for revenge as they host the Pisgah Eagles in region play on Friday night.
